Kiwi - KEY ID

Unique ID markers are supplied by Kiwi and contain unique Identification. They can be tiny and placed inside the Key Fob (such as under the removable battery cover), attached to the outside of the Key Fob, or placed on the key ring.

Only Kiwi Participating Shops have access to Kiwi KEY ID information.

The Participating Kiwi Shop can read the ID of the KEY and identify the Auto it is linked to and the registered owner of this auto.

Additionally, the Kiwi APP will look to find any customer generated work orders and will display and print the most recent signed work order. This can serve to automate the Service Intake for the vehicle and increase service efficiency for the Service Department and create a better experience for the customer.

No!

They KEY ID does NOT contain any exposed information about the auto or owner. So, there is no information that can be used in any malicious way.

At this time, only Kiwi Participating Shops can read the KEY ID and identify the owner.  So, if a Kiwi Tagged Key is taken to any Kiwi Participating Shop, they can identify the owner as appropriate.

Kiwi supplies the coded KEY ID tags to shops OR directly to customers.

There are several methods:

1. The Shop can tag keys as they come in for service. 

2. The Shop can do a campaign to tag many customer's keys - e.g. all customers who have been in for service in the past year.

3. We (Kiwi) can assist Shops in tagging keys.

Customers must have their auto registered in the Kiwi APP.  Tags are linked to the VIN number of the auto. 

Tags can be applied to the key by the Shop or by the customer. 

Tags can be sent to the customer via mail with instructions on applying them to the correct keys.

Yes we ( Kiwi) can assist with tagging keys.

Kiwi can even take records from the Shop and generate Kiwi Accounts for their customers, link the Tag to the auto and send the tag to the customer with instructions.

Yes, KIWI KEY ID is part of the Kiwi APP Suite.

No, the customer does not need to install the Kiwi APP on their phone. 

They can operate the Kiwi APP in their phone's browser - on ANY Android or IOS (Apple) device.

Yes, the customer can create a Kiwi APP account for their auto. Then they can request a Kiwi KEY ID tag.

This tag will be prepared by Kiwi and mailed to the customer with instructions on applying the tag to the correct key. 

There will be a nominal charge for this.

A tagged key can be scanned at the shop and the signed service request order can be automatically printed and entered into the SMS ( Shop Management System)!  - The customer would have created this work order in the Kiwi APP. - This results in marked increase of efficiency of the Service Department!

The shop can scan the tagged key and get the information about the auto and owner, including their phone number. 

Therefore, no more hunting around and guessing and calling.  The Service team knows exactly who to call!

NO, the Kiwi KEY ID Tags do NOT interfere with operation of your auto.

Shops who want to extend further convenience to the customers can install a Kiwi-Kiosk for quick return of the customer's keys after service. No more waiting in line to pick up their keys.
